    Ships

Ship positions are 2–5 minutes old. Ferries are live. Boats without AIS never show.

      Your trip

Lanes you crossed are worked out when the trip is saved.

While this screen is open, your position, course and speed go to our server every few seconds so it can work out which ships reach your line and when. That live stream is kept in memory for up to 10 minutes and never stored. If you turn on Save this trip and tap Keep when you end, the track of this crossing is stored as a trip until you delete it.

Ships without AIS never appear. Keep a lookout.
